Weekend in Six-Fours-les-Plages

Spend a few days in the Var and enjoy outdoor activities

Take a walk in the Parc de la Méditerranée

At the tip of Cap Nègre, discover this park of almost 10 hectares. It is perfect for escaping from your daily routine. During your walk, you'll love the 360-degree views. The Embiez archipelago, Sanary-sur-Mer and the Calanques national park can be admired endlessly.

Young and old will have a great time and can share a lunch on one of the many picnic tables.

Go up and discover the Notre-Dame du Mai chapel

This place of pilgrimage is nowadays very popular with tourists and locals alike. It takes about 20 minutes to walk or cycle up the forest. Then, discover this little corner of paradise with its impressive panorama from Sanary to Toulon.
Budding photographers can capture these magical moments. Your efforts to climb the slope will have paid off!

The chapel, as its name suggests, can only be visited in May. It is adorned with religious statues and benches for you to reflect in peace and quiet.

Take your first dive in Six-Fours-Les-Plages

Explore the sea bed for the very first time by taking up scuba diving. The crystal-clear water of the south will help you to get closer to the fish of the Mediterranean Sea. Head to the island of Les Embiez and dive off the islands of Paul Ricard.

Repeat the experience as many times as you like.

Visit the Maison du Cygne

Welcome to this art centre in Six-Fours-les-Plages. The commune promotes the discipline and has even set up a Plastic Arts Pole which includes: the Maison du Patrimoine, the Batterie du Cap Nègre and the Maison du Cygne. Browse through the permanent and temporary exhibitions of the latter where French and foreign artists like to present their work.

To enhance your visit, you can admire the landscaped outdoor areas of the site. A botanical garden has been introduced as well as a garden where works of art are visible. For children to have fun while learning, a playful labyrinth awaits them.

Strolling through the local markets

Like all towns in the south of France, Six-Fours-Les-Plages is home to many local markets. Sample the fresh, seasonal produce of the region during your stay. It's also a great opportunity to buy souvenirs for your loved ones.

In Provence, there is not a day without a market. You are bound to find one that you like.
