His intention was to turn the island into an international tourist mecca, under the banner of relaxation and holidays.

How do I get to Ile des Embiez?
Île des Embiez is easily accessible from the mainland. All you have to do is board a boat from the port of Six-Fours-les-Plages, just a few minutes by boat from the island. Many crossings are organised. 🛳️
The journey time by boat between Six Fours Les Plages and the Ile des Embiez is 12 minutes.
